Medication Trouble 2

@ 08:09 PM (3 months, 2 days ago)

Well, I didn't get my medication today. I guess I have to make it through the night fighting this pain or give in and go to the hospital. Doctors know or should know that people with cancer suffer through a lot of pain. It should not be this hard to get the medication we need. I know there are other health issues that people suffer with that result in a lot of pain. I cannot write about those issues since I am not going through them.

I never would have imagined my life turning out like this. I never thought I would be at risk for cancer. After all, I don't smoke or anything else that would have put me at risk for cancer. I guess you never know what life has in store for you.

  1. That sucks....long term use of narcotics, leads to dependancy issues, and greater dosage tolerance......and unfortunately, too many people with no history of cancer, or any bona fide reason, or clinical evidence to substantiate pain (in other words drug seekers), come to the ER and abuse the system......Which makes it worse on the people who actually need meds for pain control, such as cancer victims. Good luck, and try to find a good pain specialist...riff

  2. Not to be flip, but I strongly recommend highballs as needed until you get on a good pain med program.

  4. We are always being led to believe that if we live a so called healthy life we are less likely to get things like cancer and heart problems. I have seen too many people who have lived good lives suffer cancer and heart problems, the truth is we must live our life best we can and accept that we cant change some things. Hope you get that medication you need soon, god bless.
